Farmingtonā€™s Own Veronica Ruzek Promoted to Assistant Superintendent: A New Era Begins!

Farmington Public Schools just announced some exciting news, and the story makes you proud to be part of this community. Veronica Ruzek, a local icon in education, has been promoted to Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction, and Human Resources. Itā€™s a big title, but it’s Veronica if anyoneā€™s ready. šŸŽ‰

Ruzek is no stranger to Farmington. Sheā€™s served the school district for over 20 years in various rolesā€”from teacher to dean of students to Assistant Principal at Farmington High School. And now, sheā€™s taking on this new role, replacing Kimberly Wynne, who retires after 40 years of service.

Veronicaā€™s roots in Farmington run deep. She graduated from Farmington High School, where she was salutatorian, and has contributed to the district’s success in numerous ways ever since. Her background is impressive, with degrees from the University of Virginia and the Harvard Graduate School of Education. But beyond the credentials, her commitment to the community and the students makes her the perfect fit for this new position.

Superintendent Kathleen C. Greider noted, ā€œVeronica truly loves working with the students, families, faculty, and staff within the Farmington schools.ā€ Board of Education Chairman Bill Beckert added that her “unmatched passion for Farmington schools” will take the district to even greater heights.

So, whatā€™s next for Ruzek? Sheā€™s officially starting her new role on January 1, 2025, and weā€™re excited to see what she has in store for the future of Farmington’s education system!
