Farmington’s Finest Moments: The Weekend in Arrests

The Farmington Mercury Weekly Arrest Roundup: A Collision of Judgment and Justice

Welcome back, dear readers, to Farmington’s weekly arrest breakdown—where small-town drama meets big-time poor decisions. Courtesy of the Farmington Police Department, we present this week’s highlights from November 26 to December 2, 2024. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty, but what are the stories behind these arrests? Well, let’s say they’re guilty of being… memorable.

Arrest Highlights

“Close Quarters” DUI on Fienemann Road

  • Arrested: Pacifico T. Flores, 56, Waterbury, CT
  • Incident Date: November 30, 2024, 9:46 PM
  • Location: Fienemann Road/Farm Springs Road
  • Charges:
    • Driving Under the Influence (DUI) (14-227a)
    • Following Too Closely, Accident Resulting (14-240b)
  • Bond: $2,500
  • Arresting Officer: Flores, Pacifico T.

Pacifico was nabbed by Officer Flores (no relation—we think!) for a classic case of over-imbibing and under-estimating stopping distances. We hope his December 11, 2024 court date doesn’t turn into another crash course in judgment.

911: It’s an Emergency, Not a Prank Line

  • Arrested: Brian A. Howard, 34, Farmington, CT
  • Incident Date: November 28, 2024, 2:36 AM
  • Location: 8 Knollwood Road
  • Charges:
    • Misuse of Emergency 911 (53a-180d)
    • Disorderly Conduct (53a-182)
  • Bond: $5,000
  • Arresting Officer: DiFusco, Ryan A.

Officer DiFusco dealt with a peculiar late-night caller who mistook emergency dispatch for a suggestion box. We trust Mr. Howard’s court appearance on December 3, 2024, will make more productive use of everyone’s time.

Driving in Zigzags on Main Street

  • Arrested: Shania Jean Vollmer, 28, Farmington, CT
  • Incident Date: November 28, 2024, 1:28 AM
  • Location: Main Street/Colt Highway Cutoff
  • Charges:
    • Failure to Drive in a Proper Lane (14-236)
    • Driving Under the Influence (DUI) (14-227a)
  • Bond: $1,500
  • Arresting Officer: Fausel, Kyler A.

Pulled over by Officer Fausel, Shania’s drive home featured an interpretive dance with the lane markers. She’s slated to perform her next act—hopefully more straightforward—on December 4, 2024, in court.

Bristol’s Wardrobe Malfunction

  • Arrested: Michael Anthony Leone, 71, Bristol, CT
  • Incident Date: November 26, 2024, 12:40 PM
  • Location: 319 New Britain Avenue
  • Charges:
    • Breach of Peace, Second Degree (53a-181)
    • Public Indecency (53a-186)
  • Bond: $5,000
  • Arresting Officer: Jones, Alex W.

Warrant in hand, Officer Jones apprehended Mr. Leone, whose daytime exploits on New Britain Avenue included activities better suited to a private venue. We wish him luck at his December 4, 2024, court date, where we suspect an extra layer of clothing might be a good idea.
