Three adults from across central Connecticut found themselves in Farmington police custody this weekend. Charges included impersonation, trespassing, drug possession, and failure to show up in court. A $100,000 bond, a fake name, and one notably unregistered vehicle later, all suspects are out on bond and heading for courtrooms rather than brunch.

Jaiquan Blunt Tried the Old “Not Me” Routine

On Sunday, May 18 at 3:00 p.m., Farmington police arrested Jaiquan Blunt, 34, of 10 Belden Street, Hartford. The arrest took place outside 500 South Road following what officers noted as a shoplifting-related incident. But Blunt reportedly didn’t stop at five-finger discounts. He also threw in a fake identity for flair.

The charges:

  • Criminal Trespass, 1st Degree (C.G.S. 53a-107)
  • Criminal Impersonation (C.G.S. 53a-130)
  • Interfering with an Officer (C.G.S. 53a-167a)

He posted a $10,000 nonsurety bond and will return to court on May 28, 2025. Hopefully under his real name this time.

Jeremy West Missed Court, Got Caught at the Deli

Also on May 18, but earlier—10:38 a.m.—officers picked up Jeremy Bryant West, 30, of 60 Lake Garda Drive, Farmington, on New Britain Avenue. Police served a re-arrest warrant for failing to appear in court, second degree (C.G.S. 53a-173).

Bond: $3,000 cash, paid.
Court date: May 27, 2025.

Moral of the story: if the state gives you a date, you better show up. Or they’ll find you while you’re grabbing a sandwich.

Khamari Grant Racked Up the Charges—and the Highest Bond

Saturday, May 17, just before noon. South Road again. Farmington police arrested Khamari Shanelle Grant, 32, of 59 Delmont Street, Manchester. What started with a vehicle violation ended with a narcotics arrest and the highest bond of the weekend.

The charges:

  • Operating/Parking Unregistered Motor Vehicle (C.G.S. 14-12(a))
  • Possession of Controlled Substance, First Offense (C.G.S. 21a-279(a)(1))
  • Sale of Narcotic Substance (C.G.S. 21a-277(a)(1)(A))

Grant posted a $100,000 surety bond and is expected in court on May 28, 2025. When your bond is six figures, you know it’s serious.

👮‍♀️ Three arrests. One weekend. If you were thinking about committing petty crime in Farmington, you might want to consult your calendar—and maybe your conscience.
