Change Orders, Cupola Work, and a September Push
The Farmington High School Building Committee convened on August 18, 2025, beginning promptly at 5:05 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance. Public comment was opened, but none was offered.
Minutes and Correspondence
The committee unanimously approved the minutes from July 16, 2025. No correspondence was reported between July 15 and August 18, though members reminded residents that comments can always be submitted through the committee’s homepage contact form.
Reports from Partners
Board of Education representative Kathy reported that Farmington teachers had returned for convocation and professional development, with the first day of school scheduled for August 25. She invited the committee to tour the completed central office.
Chris, liaison for the 1928 Building Committee, noted ongoing progress on the historic building, highlighting cupola work and window installations. The next 1928 committee meeting is set for August 26.
Project Manager Russ reviewed contingency balances, noting continued processing of change orders and ongoing site work. Completed items include bleachers and a retaining wall; tennis court lights were scheduled for installation on August 22. The only major pending cost involves ADA parking stalls at the west entrance, pending fire marshal approval.
Architect Archana confirmed that TSKP and Arcadis completed punch list inspections for the grandstands, press box, and central office spaces. The construction manager reported greenhouse installation nearing completion by August 22.

The committee debated whether to hold its next meeting on September 3 or cancel. With numerous change orders in the pipeline, members agreed to meet on September 3 at 5:30 p.m., with another full meeting confirmed for September 17. A finance subcommittee meeting will be scheduled for the morning of August 29.
