Farmington Canal Heritage Trail Reconstruction to Begin

The Farmington Canal Heritage Trail section crossing Scoville Road is set for reconstruction as part of the Old Farms Road Project. Beginning this week, the trail will undergo significant changes with pavement removal and barricades placed at the intersection.

While the trail will stay open during the construction, I would strongly suggest caution. Cyclists are recommended to dismount their bicycles, and all users should exercise heightened awareness when crossing the impacted zone. This project, intended to improve accessibility and safety, is slated for completion by August 9th.
