Farmington Police Arrest Report – Aug. 12, 2025
The Farmington Police Department clocked a single arrest between 7:00 a.m. on Aug. 12 and 7:00 a.m. on Aug. 13, proving that either (a) crime took a vacation, or (b) the usual suspects upgraded to stealth mode.
The headline act? Karl Josef Becher, 59, of Perry Street, Farmington, who was arrested at 5:05 p.m. on Aug. 12 at 319 New Britain Avenue. The charges read like the menu at Connecticut’s least popular amusement park:
- 14-222 Reckless Driving – For when your gas pedal believes in manifest destiny.
- 53a-182 Disorderly Conduct – A classic, for those who find indoor voices overrated.
- 53a-64 Reckless Endangerment, 2nd Degree – The sequel nobody asked for.
Police say this was a warrant arrest, which in Farmington means someone somewhere made enough noise that a judge got involved. Becher was released on a Promise to Appear, meaning the judicial system is putting its faith in the same type of promise most of us make about going to the gym.
Court date is set for Aug. 20, 2025 — mark your calendars, or don’t; we’ll remind you anyway.
All parties are, of course, innocent until proven guilty. Except in the court of neighborhood gossip, where verdicts are instant and appeals are denied.
