🎄 Farmington Toy Drive: How You Can Help Spread Joy This Holiday Season

FARMINGTON, CT — The season of giving is upon us, and the Farmington Democratic Town Committee is calling on the community to make the holidays brighter for local families in need. The committee is hosting a toy drive on Thursday, Dec. 12, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Farmington Community Center (321 New Britain Ave., Unionville).

Farmington Community Services will distribute the collected toys, focusing this year on gifts for teens and tweens—groups often overlooked during holiday giving.

What to Donate: Gifts Teens & Tweens Will Love

Organizers suggest bringing items that older kids would appreciate, including:

  • Legos and arts/crafts supplies
  • Video games and board games (geared toward older kids)
  • Sports equipment and science kits
  • Remote control cars, Nerf items, and puzzles
  • Wireless speakers, headphones, and makeup/lotion sets
  • Squishmallows, superhero toys/books, and hair supplies
  • Gift cards (Target, Walmart, Amazon, etc.)

Every donation will help ensure no child in Farmington has to miss out on the season’s magic.

Make a Difference

This is a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together and show Farmington’s heart. Whether you’re a parent, neighbor, or just someone looking to spread holiday cheer, consider donating a gift to make a big impact.
