Farmington’s Arrest Scene: Big Theft Energy on New Britain Avenue 🕵️‍♀️

In our ongoing pursuit to deliver hyper-local news that doubles as thrilling dinner-table conversation fodder, The Farmington Mercury proudly presents this week’s arrest log. And in true Mercury fashion, we are the last to break it.

On December 22, 2024, at precisely 3:11 PM, Nicholas G. Karangekis of Waterbury found himself at 319 New Britain Avenue, where Farmington’s finest escorted him into the annals of our press log. Karangekis, a 26-year-old white female (yes, you read that correctly), is charged with first-degree larceny (CT Penal Code 53a-122) and first-offense motor vehicle theft (CT Penal Code 53a-119c).

The court date is January 2, 2025, and the bond stands at a breezy $10,000 non-surety. According to police, this arrest stems from a motor vehicle theft incident. No more remarks were given, but this one would likely feel validated if cars had feelings.

As always, The Farmington Mercury reminds readers that everyone is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Farmington’s courts will soon determine if the allegations hold water or are a poorly executed vehicular misunderstanding.
